Our Story
Honey, Boston, and Darkness
It all started in October of 2020. Bella and Caitlin were visiting a local farm, when we noticed there were over 15 kittens running around, looking like their moms weren’t nursing them and they weren’t getting enough to eat. We checked with the owner of the farm and asked if we could take the kittens so we could foster them and bring them to the local shelter. We ended up taking home over 20 kittens from this farm, had wonderful luck with socializing them, and they were all adopted through the shelter!
There were still over 30 adult cats at the farm. The shelter told us they would not take feral cats, and that adult feral cats are not adoptable. We disagree. So, we decided to start our own rescue so that we could help the more misunderstood cats that other rescues won’t help.
We currently have 20 adult cats in our care that we are socializing. We began bringing the adult cats home in December and got to 20 by the end of January. We currently have 6+ that are adoptable once they are spayed and neutered, and that is with only 1-2 months of socialization! We are hopeful that the community will help with donations, and we can get these cats well, and into homes rather than just barely surviving their entire lives on farms.
Our biggest need right now is financial support for veterinary services. Please, if you love cats and want to help our cause, consider making a donation! Thank you very much for reading! We are excited to continue this journey!
